I downloaded video and snapshot from playback and cannot find them. Any help? If that doesn't help, it could be the metadata holding the MP4 together is corrupt, in which I'd try various video repair tools.

I don't get any error message from VLC but the old fashioned Media Player that comes bundled with the pack reports 'Cannot render file'. Does that suggest I might need another pack or that the file is dead? That's pointing more and more like the file is dead. It could be really messed up metadata inside the MP4 container, or it could be something else.

I've connected with the iVS app on this PC and on my android phone and can record and view the recordings there. The Hikvision player that downloads from the app when you first play a video works fine. Trouble is I need to store videos on a central share for future viewing, ie by the police.
